The Symantec™ Data Center Security: Server Advanced v6.10 is a Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System and a Server Security Management solution. The TOE is a software that provides a comprehensive, policy-based security layer for heterogeneous server and endpoint to prevent zero-day exploits and ensure continuous compliance, offering more granular controls than typical desktop endpoint security solutions.
Its primary purpose is to provide Intrusion Prevention and Detection services to monitor, control, detect, and respond to endpoint and network threats. The TOE provides these services by monitoring and protecting physical and virtual network endpoints and data centres using a combination of host-based intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, least privilege access control.
